The company needed to treat an air stream contaminated with acidic vapors, with concentrations up to 1.35 g/m³ and an HCl load of 35 kg/h, at a flow rate of 25,000 Nm³/h and a temperature of 46°C. It was necessary to ensure compliance with environmental regulations without compromising the continuity of the production process.
We designed and built a continuous-operation scrubber (Ø 2,400 mm, height 6,500 mm) equipped with a 2,800 mm packed bed and 2 seconds of contact time.The use of 30% caustic soda ensures effective neutralization of pollutants, with a limited pressure drop (120 mm H₂O) and the release of clean air to the atmosphere within the emission limits established by the latest BAT regulations
